Welcome back to the GENESIS newsletter👋 After a refreshing holiday season we’re ready to start this year at a sprint with two major event announcements!

Also: we apologize for the the radio silence the past few weeks. We’ve decided to send out newsletters primarily for announcements at a less regular cadence. Both Andrew and I put our startups before anything else and we realized we simply didn’t have the bandwidth to give a content-driven newsletter the attention it deserves.

🍺 The Windy City Venture Crawl 1/26 9am-5pm

This is not your average networking event.

The Windy City Venture Crawl (WCVC) is like a bar crawl, but instead of bars, it’s VC offices in Chicago.

This major startup/entrepreneurship event is all about bringing together early stage founders from across the Midwest with investors in Chicago. What’s even better, we’ll be in their offices…

We’ll have pitches at each of the three participating offices along with light food & drinks. We’re closing the night off with a major afterparty, described below.

And this is not your regular boring happy hour afterparty…

We’ll have:

• a fire dancer

• local brands started by GenZ entrepreneurs

• 300+ genZ founders, artists, and changemakers

Trust me, this will be the greatest thing happening that night in Chicago in January.

70 degree weather… a villa right on the beach… yoga classes… surfing in between meetings… a time to relax and cowork with other young ambitious founders….
