GENESIS @ GenZ VCs, rooftop parties, and events coming up

I recently heard Andy Dunn (co-founder of Bonobos) describing his experience in the entrepreneurial world in NYC in the 2000s, which was small but experiencing an explosion of growth. And he mentioned that right now Chicago feels the exact same way…

I look forward to telling stories 20 years from now of bumping shoulders with people who go on to become titans of industry, culture, politics, and more, who all had their origin in Chicago and in GENESIS.

Everyone here wants the city to succeed. The underdog mentality is palpable, and there’s so much talent across disciplines that is slowly coming together. Piece by piece.

Summer is off to a strong start🏖️

GENESIS poker night. Usually we have a ‘go big or go home’ mentality but the stakes were pretty low this time, so feel free to join next time!

GenZ VC’s was amazing, they’ve truly created a space for young VC’s and founders to feel at home

Vic Mensa’s rooftop birthday party was a blast. Great to see young tech founders mingling with experienced artists & athletes. City is coming together, piece by piece.

This ^^^ is my friend Aldo. He’s pretty cool. He runs an AR content marketplace called Omnia here in Chicago and also launched a peanut butter brand. To help retain his visa and stay at the helm of his company he’s been gathering nominations for Forbes 30u30 Chicago, you can cast your support for him here.

  • GENESIS x Approachable: Women-only builders private dinner experience and wine tasting night

    • we have two private chefs coming for a demonstration and dinner experience, designed to build lasting friendships between the women builders of the GENESIS community!

Asking the community❓

As you know, we have some crazy events planned for this summer. But to make them all happen, we need your help:

  • we need performers for our August GENESIS House kickoff event. If you have a unique talent or know someone, please let me know. Anything performance that looks dope on stage qualifies. We’ll have lighting, sound, DJ, mics, etc. About 100-120 people. Any intro’s are much appreciated!

  • if you know any influencers please let us know. We have an event designed for Chicago influencers coming up with a few slots left. They would be grateful if you’re the connect :)

Helping out in small ways does not go unnoticed, and it will be reciprocated🙏
