Welcome back to the GENESIS newsletter🙏
Before we get started, ⚠️WE MOVED OUT LAKEFRONT LU’UA TO A NEW LOCATION due to weather concerns⚠️ the new location is the Chess Pavilion just south of 1604 N Lake Shore Dr, at North Ave Beach. Same time, same vibes :)
Anyway…
Last week I was walking through the WNDR museum on my way to KAMI’s BUBBLEBOY performance when I saw a small sentence printed on the wall:
“Meaningful change happens within connection.”
Looking back, 99% of the major changes in my life were driven by relationships, whether professional or personal. When two likeminded individuals meet an explosive power is unleashed. Many of the largest changes in the world were also driven by the right relationships — think Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak, or the PayPal mafia.
Words to think about especially as we march onwards through TechChicago Week…
What happened last week?
Drive Capital hosted an AI hackathon with Replit. It was amazing to see how much smart people can build in just a day if they sit down and hack away…
