Welcome back to the weekly GENESIS newsletter👋
Before we get started, I want to shout out books. Yup. We’re getting nerdy.
Too many entrepreneurs forgo reading because it can seem slow and unproductive. True - most books aren’t worth your time, and it’s OK to stop reading ones that aren’t for you.
But there’s always a handful of diamonds that, when read, will fundamentally change how you operate and the direction you’re headed in life. You’ll never know how you lived before hearing their advice.
For me one of those books was Make No Small Plans by Elliott Bisnow, who now runs Summit, a company that puts on the world’s most impressive international events for entrepreneurs & creatives.
Nowadays they’re filling cruise ships with names including Jeff Bezos, Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, and more. But it all started with him cold-calling Top 30 listers to go on a ski trip with him. Definitely worth a read.
In some ways, Bisnow’s book was the genesis of GENESIS…🤯
What happened last week?

This is Josh Huang. He’s a bodybuilder, an avid learner, a freelance photographer, UIUC student, and much more. He’s the genius behind the camera for many of the recent photos & videos you’ve seen from GENESIS📸
He’s been a huge help to the community and is no doubt going far in life💪
Right now he’s looking to have conversations with people who work finance, and searching for internships for Summer ‘24. If that’s you or you know someone, DM him on IG @the.j.emperor / Linkedin Joshua Huang / email [email protected].
